Do you use molds to make your ice carvings?
No, all our sculptures are hand made with no molds or CNC machines involved.
Why are your ice blocks so clear?
We keep the water in motion as it freezes, so there are no air bubbles trapped in the ice.
How long will my ice sculpture last?
The detail on a single block piece will last between 3 and 5 hours indoors, depending on temperature and airflow. The actual piece will last up to 8 hours.
What are the weights of an ice block and a finished piece?
A block measuring 20"X40"X10 weighs approximately 300 pounds. The average weight of a finished piece is 220 pounds.
What does "full set-up" mean?
Full set-up means that we will deliver you piece prior to your event's start time, set it on a bottom-lighted display tray and attach a drainage tube and pail.
What kind of tools do you use?
Mostly chisels, but we also use several power tools such as chainsaws, die grinders, angle grinders and even irons.
